Luckenbooth Designs
These heart-shaped brooches were traditionally exchanged between lovers and were also pinned on a baby's shawl to protect it from evil spirits. The name comes from the locked booths around St Giles Cathedral in the Royal Mile in Edinburgh where they were originally sold.
