Serpent Belt Buckle In Pewter
A pewter buckle with two extended serpents joined by a Celtic knot work design at the mouth. The bodies are a clear interlacing of continual woven lines. The buckle is fastened by a hinged bar which the belt clips onto. There is a strong prong to push through the hole in the belt. The serpent represents wisdom and rebirth within Celtic lore. In the Scottish Highlands, the serpents represent a Witch’s (Cailleach) power.
